Does anyone know of any scholarships or some kind of other help I can get so I can send my son to a great private school. We live in florida. He is 8 years old. I already got the McKay scholarship but still need about another $8,000. If I had the money I would pay for it but I can't even pay the bills right now. Is there anything else out there at all to help?? :(

The only other ones I can find are for college. I did google it and have been all over the web.

I assume you have checked with the school itself on how much they might contribute? I didn't know Florida had the McKay Scholarships ... I think it's wonderful you've got that.

There a website http://www.fastweb.com. It's a free scholarship search service for high school and college students. I used it back in the day, but had minimal luck with it. To get most scholarships on that site, you have to be either really poor, an ethnic minority, or extraordinarily talented in something. I'm none of these. But since it's a free site, it might be worth a try for you.
