Hi All -

AS diagnosed eight or nine years ago. Actually, my kids were diagnosed but through the reading material doctors provided I recognized a lot in myself. Sure enough, I wound up with the same diagnosis. I'm sure it's a pretty common theme among Aspergers people, but boy, did that explain a LOT!

I really don't know why I'm here. (At this site, that is. Not trying to get deeply philosophical.) I'm skimming through the material and I'm sure I'll find items of help, but really I don't know what I'm looking for. And I for sure know I won't be of much help to anyone. (And it must be irritating, I'm sure, how often I use the word "I.")(And I guess the excessive use of brackets might get on someone's nerves as well.)

Anyway, that's my brief intro. As with everyone else, the whole story's a lot longer.

Welcome to WP, suiycfui... you put yourself down too much... I'm sure you'll have plenty to offer the rest of us :)

Remember, you don't have to actually be looking for something in order to find it, it just sorta happens lol

You're the same age I was when I discovered my daughter came by her autism honestly. We had spent the first two decades of her life thinking her autism had come out of the blue. I was so surprised to discover I had Asperger's.

Yep, surprise was one of the emotions I felt. Relief was another, strangely enough. It was kind of nice knowing there was a reason for my "strangeness."

Welcome,

For me the great discoveries are not in the books, so read about, we are the people who don't fit in, so you fit.
